Dear Parents/Guardians, Teachers and Students,
We hope you all had an awesome summer break and are geared up for the kick-off of Chinese school on September 13! We are really looking forward to welcoming all our school members back to Livingston Huaxia Chinese School for learning of the Chinese language, immersing in Chinese culture, and engaging in cross-cultural exchanges! Together, we embody our vibrant and self-assured Chinese cultural community!
School Start Dates and Open Period
This coming Saturday (9/13/2025), all Chinese classes will commence, covering Standard Chinese, MLP Chinese, AP Chinese, CSL, and Pre-K Chinese. You may receive welcome letters from Chinese class teachers before 9/13.
Next Saturday (9/20/2025), all cultural and adult classes (including math, art and sports classes) will kick off.
The school will be open from 9 am to 12:30 pm on Saturdays.

Class Arrangements
Please review your class name, schedule, and classroom/teacher information at your earliest convenience in your family profile page online. Should you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Tuition and Textbooks
Tuition must be paid off before classes start and you shall see zero balance due in your family account page online.
Please refer to tuition payment instructions to arrange your payment. The instructions are available by accessing the “Print Registration Form” hyperlink in your family account page.
If your tuition payment is received by the end of Thursday (9/11/2025), textbooks will be distributed in the classroom. Otherwise, kindly pay the tuition at the school registration desk and collect your textbooks at the desk.
In the event of class withdrawal or transfer, textbooks can only be accepted for return if they are in their original, unused condition. Otherwise, the cost of the textbooks will not be refunded.
Class Withdrawal/Transfer and School Refund
Class Withdrawal/transfer and refund policy is available by accessing the “Print Registration Form” hyperlink in your family account page.
Class transfer requests should be submitted to the principal's office, and students will be informed regarding the status of their request.
Refunds: If you have a negative balance in your account, you are entitled to a school refund. Refunds will be processed after the 4th week of the school year.
School Safety Protocols
Only parents of new students and parents of students in Grades One or lower are allowed to guide students to the classrooms during the first week.
Starting from the second week, parents will not have access to the classrooms.
There is a reserved parking area for the school faculty near Door 2. Parking, standing, or driving through the reserved parking area is not allowed.
Driving directions and parking
School address and driving directions: LHXCS Address (Livingston Mount Pleasant Middle School, 11 Broadlawn Dr., Livingston, NJ 07039).
Parking: parking space may be limited, especially during the Livingston soccer season (September to November). We encourage carpooling and advise allowing extra time for parking and walking to the school.
Please follow the school’s parking rules and guidelines, comply with the traffic instructions and guidance provided by school staff and volunteers. Please ensure you drop off and pick up from the designated location to prevent traffic congestion.
Entrance/Exit and Pick-up/Drop-off
The school entrance is at Door 3 and the exit is at Door 2 (Cafeteria). Please refer to the school’s parking rules and guidelines for the route map.
Parents may stay in the cafeteria during class hours. After the class concludes, Students will be released from Door 2.
Please be sure to communicate with your child in advance. If parents are unable to arrive on time for pick-up, children should wait patiently in the cafeteria.
School Communications
We utilize email for communication with parents/guardians. If you have never received any school emails like the weekly newsletter, kindly send an email to admin@livingstonhuaxia.org.
Please review and confirm your email address, phone number, and home address on the Family Registration web page. This will enable the school to effectively communicate with parents regarding homework assignments and any unforeseen events.
Volunteering
Volunteers are the backbone for the smooth operation of the school. This year, we have resumed collecting a $50 volunteer deposit from each family. Every registered family (for Chinese, Cultural, or Adult classes) must complete at least one volunteer service during the academic year to receive a refund of the volunteer deposit. The refund will be issued in two batches, in December and May. The school's Parent Association will regularly post volunteer opportunities through Volunteer Sign-Up Form, so please make sure to register and complete your volunteer service.

This year, the High School Student Volunteers Club will once again be actively participating in various aspects of school life, including assisting in classes, school administration, and special academic and celebration events. Please check the High School Student Volunteers Club website and the upcoming open house notice on September 27.

课程安排详情
请尽早在学校网站上您的家庭页面中查看您注册的班级名称、课程时间和教室/教师安排。如果有任何疑问,请务必与我们联系。
课程学费和教材费用
课程学费请在开学之前缴清。学费缴清以后您网上的家庭账号余额应该为零。
您网上家庭账号中有一个超级链接(Print Registration Form)。请按照其中的付费指南缴付学费。
如果您的学费在2025年9月11日(即周四)结束之前收到,学生将直接在教室内领取教材;否则,请本周六在学校注册台支付学费,并当场领取教材。
第一周课结束以后,如果您需要退课或转班,教材可以退还,但是教材必须保持原始未使用状态,否则,您将需要承担教材费用。
退课/转班和学校退款
您可以在您网上家庭账号中的(Print Registration Form)超级链接中查询到详细的退课与退费规则。
如果您有转班的要求,请向学校校长办公室提出申请,学校将酌情处理。
如果您的账户显示负余额,您有权获得学校退款。退款将在学年开始后的第四周开始处理。
学校安全规定
只有新生家长和一年级及以下的学生家长可以在第一周带学生找教室。
从第二周开始,家长将禁止进入教学区域,只能在餐厅或校外等待。
请勿开车进入教师停车场。场内严禁家长车辆通过,暂停接人或者停车。
驾车指南和停车信息
学校地址及驾车指南:学校地址(Livingston Mount Pleasant Middle School, 11 Broadlawn Dr., Livingston, NJ 07039)。
停车:停车位可能有限,特别是在李文斯顿足球赛季(九月至十一月)。我们鼓励拼车,并建议提前安排额外的停车和步行时间。
请遵守学校停车规定和指南, 服从学校工作人员和志愿者的交通指挥,请务必在指定地点上下车,以防止交通拥堵。
入口/出口和接送事项:
所有学校成员请使用3号门进入学校,放学请使用2号门(餐厅)出口离开。路线图请参考学校停车规定和指南。
在上课期间,家长应留在餐厅或离开建筑物。课程结束后,家长从2号门接孩子。
请务必提前与孩子沟通好,如遇家长放学时不能及时赶到的情况,请孩子在学校餐厅耐心等待。

志愿服务:
志愿者是保障学校顺畅运行的中坚力量。今年我们恢复了向每个家庭收取$50元志愿者押金,每个注册家庭(中文课,文化课或者成人课)在本学年必须完成一次志愿者服务才能得到志愿者押金退款。志愿者押金退款将在12月和5月分两次集中退还。学校家长会通过志愿者报名表定期发布志愿者机会,请大家抓紧报名完成志愿者服务。
