We hope everyone had a fantastic and rejuvenating time with family during the Chinese New Year. As we approach the 18th week of school, please see below for important updates and topics we'd like to share with you:
Improvised Story Telling and Writing Contest
LHXCS improvised story telling contest for students in grades 1-5 and the story writing contest for students in grades 6-9 is scheduled for this Saturday (2/08). We eagerly anticipate hearing or reading the imaginative and captivating stories created by our talented students. We hope all participants will enjoy the contest and gain valuable insights from the experience.
Speech Contest Awards Ceremony
Congratulations once again to our young contestants for achieving outstanding results in this year's Speech Contest (Central District of Huaxia Chinese School)! We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Coach Liu and all parents for their hard work and support. We will hold an award ceremony this Saturday (02/08) during the break between the second and third periods (10:35-10:55 AM) in the school cafeteria. Everyone is welcome to join us for cake and celebration. We also invite students to perform their speech pieces live, allowing the entire school community and parents to appreciate and learn from the remarkable speech skills of our young contestants!
Huaxia Chinese School Debate Competition
The Huaxia Chinese School Debate Competition is scheduled to be held on April 26. Please stay tuned for upcoming registration announcements from the Academic Affairs Office.
The school will be closed next Saturday (02/15) in observance of President Day. We look forward to seeing you this Saturday（02/08）!

中文学校看图说话/作文比赛
学校将在本周六（02/08）举办看图说话(1-5 年级)和看图写作(6-9 年级)比赛。非常期待能够听到或阅读同学们带来的富有想象力的有趣故事, 也希望同学们能够享受比赛并从中有所收获。
演讲比赛表彰会
再次祝贺我校的小选手们在今年总校中区演讲比赛中取得优异成绩！同时，衷心感谢培训老师刘老师以及全体家长的辛勤付出。我们将于本周六（02/08）第二、第三节课间（10:35-10:55 AM）在学校餐厅举行表彰会，欢迎大家一起品尝蛋糕，共同庆祝。届时，也诚邀同学们接龙现场演绎自己的演讲作品，让全校师生和家长们欣赏并学习我校小选手们精彩的演讲技巧！
华夏总校辩论比赛
华夏总校辩论比赛定于4月26日举办。请关注教务处近期关于报名的通知。
